Our company markets and distributes these products through its two operating segments -- direct selling and retail. The Direct Selling segment distributes and sells products through a direct marketing system, using independent sellers that we refer to as Dealers. The Dealers educates the consumers about the benefits and distinguishing characteristics of the products and provides personalized customer service. • Dealers will receive compensation on product if they sell it at catalogue price, rather than the dealer’s price at which they purchase the product. • Dealers are also compensated for a percentage of their personal sales and the sales generated by their group/downlines. The direct selling segment of the company includes traditional catalog selling, internet-based, courier order service, telephone and facsimile orders and other direct methods. It also involves selling the products directly to Customers who purchase products for personal use, the primary clientele being women. The Retail segment of the company operates through marketing of products to retailers or consumer outlets, such as independent gift shops, specialty chains, department stores, drug stores, mass retailers, and sub-distributors.
